@MaryJBlige’s The London Sessions Album May Be the Therapy Her Fans Need

I participated in the Mary J Blige The London Sessions album review program as a member of bLink Marketing Network. I was provided a free album to review but all opinions are my own

It makes sense why Mary J. Blige was ranked as the most successful female R&B artist of the past 25 years by Billboard, she is simply unstoppable and the most consistent R&B legend of my time. Mary’s new album The London Sessions is unexpected. We’re use to Mary helping us find real love, fight for no more drama; we cried, we got stronger with each tear–I mean Mary was with us through all the crap in our crazy relationships and we were with her. 5 Things I Learned About Myself While Traveling Alone to Turks & Caicos

Traveling Alone to Turks and Caicos

Do you travel alone? This year I stepped out of my comfort zone and vactioned alone. No kids. No husband. Just me and my cellphone (because you can’t leave home without it–right?). Leave it to me to not just travel to a nearby state, or test the waters by going to the movies by myself or dinner for one; noooooo I went out of the country ya’ll! Turks & Caicos to be exact.  Continue reading “5 Things I Learned About Myself While Traveling Alone to Turks & Caicos” »

Flannel and Skinny Jeans

Flannel-shirts-skinny-jeans-boys-oshkosh-bgoshFor it to be Fall, the weather has been incredible in Atlanta and Kai has had plenty of playground time over the last few weeks. If you’re in the city and looking for a good park, check out the Old Fourth Ward playground, Kai loves it!

Although the weather is unseasonably warm for this time of year, I never take for granted that today it will be 70 degrees and tomorrow it will be 40 degrees. Therefore, I love to dress him “playground comfy”, which just means he can play around, get dirty and both of us can feel comfortable while he’s doing it. #Sponsored: Huggies Keeping My Baby Snug and Dry #MC

Huggies-Snug-Dry-DiapersKai woke up like ‘dis–dry! Kai is 14 months and if you told me I would still be breast feeding after 1 years old I’d laugh in yo face, but ummm….yeah it’s happening. I don’t remember waking up to leaky diapers with my other two kids, and I’m going to blame breastfeeding several times during the night as the culprit to how much Kai tinkles throughout the night.

At first I thought I wasn’t changing him enough, but the bags under my eyes every morning squashed that theory. For the past couple of months we’ve tried various brands, and although we haven’t had too much trouble with the Target brand diapers at night, what I battled with was the diaper booty; where the diaper made his pants look like he was carrying around a massive dump! So the diaper saga continued until a week ago. Continue reading “#Sponsored: Huggies Keeping My Baby Snug and Dry #MC” »

Breaking the Rules: Denim on Denim with a Splash of Color

Denim on Denim from OshKosh B'goshWe’re breaking the rules today people! There is nothing I love more than a denim jacket. All  three of my kids have one, and I think it’s a must have piece for the days where it’s cooler in the morning and the temperature gets slightly warmer throughout the day. But what about pairing your denim jacket with a pair of denim jeans?

I had no idea there were “rules” to wearing denim on denim and clearly we’ve broken the rules, but I say if you like it–go for it! In our case, I couldn’t pass on matching up the OshKosh B’gosh denim jacket with their straight leg dark wash jeans. Check out more of Kai’s look.

Inky Cobalt Blue: My New Obsession for Fall

Essie's inky cobalt blue

This inky colbalt blue by essie is my new Fall color obsession! I’ve never really been a fan of dark colors; i’m more of a nude and pink kind-of-girl, but this blue is giving me all the life this season. I’ve had it on since Monday and my nails look like I just got them done; which is surprising considering all the typing and hair styling I do!

What’s your favorite go-to color for Fall?
