For it to be Fall, the weather has been incredible in Atlanta and Kai has had plenty of playground time over the last few weeks. If you’re in the city and looking for a good park, check out the Old Fourth Ward playground, Kai loves it!
Although the weather is unseasonably warm for this time of year, I never take for granted that today it will be 70 degrees and tomorrow it will be 40 degrees. Therefore, I love to dress him “playground comfy”, which just means he can play around, get dirty and both of us can feel comfortable while he’s doing it. Want to see more? Kai woke up like ‘dis–dry! Kai is 14 months and if you told me I would still be breast feeding after 1 years old I’d laugh in yo face, but ummm….yeah it’s happening. I don’t remember waking up to leaky diapers with my other two kids, and I’m going to blame breastfeeding several times during the night as the culprit to how much Kai tinkles throughout the night.
At first I thought I wasn’t changing him enough, but the bags under my eyes every morning squashed that theory. For the past couple of months we’ve tried various brands, and although we haven’t had too much trouble with the Target brand diapers at night, what I battled with was the diaper booty; where the diaper made his pants look like he was carrying around a massive dump! optional: 2 tablespoons melted white chocolate, sea salt
Spray a baking sheet lightly with cooking spray. Make little piles of 5-7cashews until you've used up all of the cashews.
Place caramels in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave on high 2-4 minutes until completely melted. (The caramels wil foam a lot, this is normal.) Stir until smooth.
Spoon about 1 tablespoon (doesn't need to be exact) of caramel onto the top of each cashew pile. Place baking sheet in the fridge or freezer.
Melt chocolate chips in a microwave safe bowl at half power for 2 minutes. Stir and microwave another 20 seconds. Stir again until smooth. Spoon about 1 tablespoon (does't need to be exact onto the top of each caramel cashew cluster. Use the spoon to spread the chocolate so it covers the top of the cluster. Chill 10 minutes. Store at room temp or chilled in an airtight container up to 2 weeks.
*Optional: Immediately after pouring milk chocolate over the caramel clusters, sprinkle with sea salt. Allow to cool for a few minutes, then drizzle with melted white chocolate.
We’re breaking the rules today people! There is nothing I love more than a denim jacket. All three of my kids have one, and I think it’s a must have piece for the days where it’s cooler in the morning and the temperature gets slightly warmer throughout the day. But what about pairing your denim jacket with a pair of denim jeans?
I had no idea there were “rules” to wearing denim on denim and clearly we’ve broken the rules, but I say if you like it–go for it! In our case, I couldn’t pass on matching up the OshKosh B’gosh denim jacket with their straight leg dark wash jeans. Check out more of Kai’s look.
This inky colbalt blue by essie is my new Fall color obsession! How dramatic is this picture of me with Dr. Oz? Blue lips and all, I had the opportunity to meet my personal doctor (in my head) at the Bringing Back Healthy Expo this past Saturday (September 13th). I received an unexpected yet life changing diagnosis that ultimately will change the way I look at my health from this day forward.
